The price of gold is falling at bidding in London and New York City on speculation a rally that drove prices for the precious metal to $700 a troy ounce will not last. The price of gold rose 64% last year in London.
The spot price of gold dropped $5, 75 (0, 8%) to $695, 15 an ounce at Wednesday bidding in London. „The chances that prices on gold exceed $700 level are very low, “says Dennis Gartman, economist and editor of the Gartman Letter, a daily financial commentary. back |
