Gold is marking price highs |

back
The price of gold exceeded $677 an ounce the day before, reaching a 25-year high. The rise in price of gold is probably linked to strong weakening of the US dollar on the world currency markets. Gold is traditionally considered an alternative investment instrument. Many investors prefer to keep their assets in the form of precious metals, when the US dollar is not stable.
At the same time central banks of many countries reviewed their policy in respect to gold and foreign exchange reserves and started to increase volumes of gold and reduce the amount of US dollars. General lack of stability in world and gradual economy growth, including gold-involving production of high-priced goods and jewelry also affected the gold prices.
The price of gold rose only in a money price against the US dollar and its falling exchange rate and not so much against the more stable euro.
Analytics say currently gold quotations are being gradually adjusted and fell to $650-655 an ounce today. Experts forecast the price of gold will grow further in the next few days, together with prices on other precious metals. back |
